One of my Favorite New Tools ...

I take a lot of pictures ...

I also write a lot of blog posts ...

I like to use my pictures to illustrate a point in a blog post or to get the reader to ask questions ...

So I feel like I am always looking for a different way to display photos. I am a big fan of sites I can create with online. I don't like downloading a program to a computer, since I like to have online access to the stuff I create.

Back in January, I sent out a message on twitter (a tweet) looking for ideas:

I have several pictures from a recent learning experience, I want to present them in an interesting way. Suggestions other than animoto?

I was able to compile a long list of things to try ... you can see that list: Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

In the last several months, I have tried several of those creation sites and could have used any of them again, but I did not want to this time ...

Tonight, I wrote a post for my WonderLead Blog about our trip to a local farm. I once again tried to just write a list post (based on 5 Blog Posts You Should Be Writing), but felt like it just needed something else to go with it ... and I had 54 pictures. I know to choose the best pictures and try to use a few to really make them pop ... but I wanted to capture the full experience, and we got to see and do so many things!

I started looking around to see if I could find a new photo creation site for me to try (I also wanted something easy) ...

I am very happy to report that I was SUCCESSFUL in my search! I came across PhotoSnack.

Since I took Ken Shelton's Workshop at NCTIES (Creating is Different than Taking), I have been storing most of my pictures in Picasa. The fact that I could connect to my Picasa albums from Photosnack and not have to upload each picture individually (remember I had 54 pictures), scored some major bonus points. Having some choices and being able to easily customize as well as the simple way to create and embed or link has made PhotoSnack one of my favorite new tools!

Here is a post containing a PhotoSnack creation: Our Trip to Narrow Gate.

Have you used PhotoSnack before?

What are some of your favorite photo creation sites?

What is one of your favorite new tools?

Loved checking out your Narrow Gate creation but found myself wishing it moved a bit faster - especially with 54 pics, lol! I'll definitely have to check Photosnack out as an option to photo collages.
